In order to make dreams into reality we must first be realistic.
So,change is coming to the Priceless Campaign!
I have a desire to empower teenage girls to know that, the negative words society forces on them, is not TRUTH. It is my dream that teenage girls learn and grow into their own TRUTH. Moreover I want them to know that they are Priceless, No Matter What!
When we as adults empower teenage girls by supporting, advocating, teaching, and encouraging them GREAT things happen. They begin to see their true value and they begin their journey to reach their personal GREATNESS!
That is the main reason I created The Priceless Campaign. To help adults empower teenage girls by letting them know we are here for them.
I was dreaming that 250,000 would be our goal to get 250,000 people to sign the online pledge, that would Spread the Truth about Teenage Girls. But, the movement had some major flaws.
I had the passion but I lacked the structure to push the movement forward. Just when I found out what I needed my mother became ill and I had to go on FML (Family Medical Leave) from my job and rush to the Bronx, New York.
During that time my main focus was supporting my mother and father. The Priceless Campaign was on hold.
Returning home (Pennsylvania) and looking at what I created I realized that I needed major changes for the Campaign to move forward.
First, change instead of 250,000 my first goal is 1,000. At times I can make a goal so tall the ability to reach it becomes impossible. So, once I reach the 1,000 we will go to the second, third, forth, and so on until we reach the final goal. First goal 1000 online pledges signed to Spread the Truth about Teenage Girls.
Secondly, the site was not focused as it needed to be to get the message across. So, we took the site down and we have been working hard to create a clean site that gets the message across. We will be re-launching real soon.
Thirdly, the Pledge needed some work so I reached out to some of my Facebook friends and Katrina Spigner from South Carolina helped me create a great pledge that was tested yesterday and many people LOVED IT. I hope you will love it too.
Lastly, creating a structure to build the movement. That is a constant work in progress but it is beginning.
It is my hope with the changes and hard work we can let teenage girls know that they are PRICELESS, No Matter What and in doing so change our world for the better.
By the way my mother is doing so much BETTER and I am back to work as a school social worker and loving it. Now, my focus is to build the Priceless Campaign to its full potential.
I am really lucky to have a great intern Kesha and many great supporters to help The Priceless Campaign move forward.
