Empowered Wednesday #2
Wild Squirrel Nut Butter
Wild Squirrel Nut Butter was in Fortune Magazine, Oprah Magazine, The Huffington Post, and featured on, Shark Tank! Now they are featured on Empowered Wednesday.
1- What is the name of you company and what do you do?
I am the co-founder of an
all-natural flavored nut butter company that my college roommate Keeley and I
started when we were sophomores at the University of Oregon. The name of our
company is Wild Squirrel Nut Butter and we make 3 different peanut butters and
2 almond butters!
2- Will your company have a positive impact on Teenage Girls?
If so how?
Keeley and I hope to have a positive
impact on teenage girls by inspiring them to go after their dreams! Even though
we never thought our passion would be in business, much less flavored nut
butters, we have embraced the unexpected and now have a whole new perspective
on life. We have discovered how fulfilling it is to wake up every day, excited
about life and about growing the business we created! We hope to motivate
others to do the same!
3- How can people participate in
your business?
A way that people can participate in
our business is by helping us spread the word of Wild Squirrel! Word of mouth
is a very powerful tool and not only do we have delicious nut butters to share
with everyone, but we want our story to be shared so it can empower other
people, especially teenage girls, to follow their dreams!
4- The Priceless Campaign is a
movement that will Spread the Truth about Teenage Girls, how will this impact
your community and our world?
As young female entrepreneurs in the
food business, Keeley and I are definitely the minority. Instead of letting
this hold us back, we have learned to use this to our advantage. We believe a
lot of our success is because we have embraced our youth and have not been
afraid to ask for help! We want to empower teenage girls to go after their
dreams and discover what they are most passionate about. This movement is a
great start to achieving that goal!
5- What is 1 Truth you wish every
Teenage Girl knew?
Don't let anybody tell you that you
aren't good enough. If you want to accomplish something, do everything in your
power to make it happen! Have a positive attitude, believe in yourself and
don't be afraid to ask for help!
Thank you so much Erica for taking the time to do the interview and empower Teenage Girls. You both are PRICELESS!
